After a two-month delay, the 2021 Academy Awards finally took place this past Sunday. It was the first major awards show with a full, live audience in over a year. Anthony Hopkins pulled off something of an upset when he took home the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in The Father. The 83-year-old himself seemed surprised by the news, as he neither showed up in person nor attended virtually! Beyond the silver screen, Hopkins has a truly unconventional taste in watches. He tends to prefer large, more colorful timepieces, such as the Swatch Irony Chrono Colour Dome.
Amanda Seyfried is nominated for Best Supporting Actress (her first Oscar nomination) for her performance in Netflix’s Mank. She also happens to be a brand ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre and often wears her Rendez-Vous Dazzling Moon.
Seyfried’s Mank co-star, Gary Oldman, was hoping to finally take home an Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Another thing these two share is a love of Jaeger-LeCoultre. Oldman is a personal fan of the classic Reverso. However, he’s also fond of the TAG Heuer Monaco.
Olivia Coleman, who has earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in The Father, also has a soft spot for less-expensive watches, such as the classic golden Casio A168WG.
